` a Winter dark `

` a Winter dark `

With the Yuletide season fading to a dulling commemorative,  an emptiness unhurriedly creeps in, bringing with it that dead feeling of loneliness...

With those dark intervals between long days, it seems to me that poetry will be a an obsession, that words of stanzas will conflict with the approaching darkness, filling that despairing void inside;  we can ignore it, avoid all thoughts of it, for only so long, becoming voluble to no end...

Sensing that winter's nothingness, when my soul is silent if it speaks at all, it speaks through poetry. Only needing a touch of provocation to breathe life into those words, conveying wisdom to understand that this dark winter silence is but a warm, inspiring companion, a time to let those poetic introspections breathe...

For me, the passing of the Yuletide season always brings a sense of melancholy, a feeling of lonely emptiness. During those times of darkness, I chose to fill that void with my delusional mutterings of poetry, simply letting let those poetic introspections breathe.

"This winter, there will be no voices, no glimpses, no arms, only the fabric of poetry to keep me warm."
