` a silent night `

` a silent night `

On this silent of nights, a darkness has occupied my spirit; it's the same place that once was reserved for those splendors of peace...

In this holiest of nights, my soul is but a shadowed hole that has obscured into a mute sadness, withdrawing into the depths of a lusterless core...

On this night, when all is to be calm, bright, so tender and mild with a heavenly peace; I should be full of blissful joy, but on this night, a soul has been laced yet again with misguided intentions of my complicit vulnerabilities...

On this night, a stillness has coerced me back to the corners of a darkened soul A place I know all too well, a place thought to be latched forever...

A place that has been reborn with a darkness on this holiest of silent nights...

- thoughts -

In this season of silent nights, as I gaze into those distant stars. I am consumed with a strange sense of darkness, inviting me to write these words that are plaguing my thoughts these days.

- inspiration -

"Silent night, holy night. All is calm, all is bright. Round yon Virgin Mother and Child. Holy Infant so tender and mild. Sleep in heavenly peace. Sleep in heavenly peace."

- Joseph Mohr
