`Who I'm supposed to be`
Who I'm supposed to be
In this darkness I often wonder if I am already exactly who I'm am supposed to be....
I stay here in this dark place out of fear, that fear of judgement, that fear of scorn, most of all, that fear of abandonment....
Afraid that if I depart this dark solitary safe space, what possibly waits beyond might be a much greater uncertainty.....
Or perhaps it might be an opportunity, to be exactly who I'm supposed to be....

From music and fashion to political action, there are a million ways to express your #LGBTQPride, I have chosen to express my support through the arts and poetry. This particular poem was inspired by a piece of art from Louis Fratino, one of my favorite contemporary artists
