` The Flame `

` The Flame `

Before I am anything else, I am a poet, dissecting my appreciation for those literary considerations, with nothing comparing to the euphoria of darkening those pages with scrutinized words, of my exclamations...

Offering a learned sanctification as explanations for what I have weathered throughout life's pilgrimage...

With a fiery fixation, via the  darker side, you know, the one that kindles the flame with each page of paper that my burning soul has blackened...

That heated appetite influencing my thoughts, it can never be suppressed, cause before I was anything else, I was a poet, compressing those pages with my written expressions...

-Thoughts -

I wrote this piece as a tribute to the legendary Leonard Cohen. His artistic vision has had a tremendous influence on my evolution as a writer. Through his influence, I've always felt the sense that time is ever, always, running out; what little remaining inside of me must be given shape to bear witness..

"I never think about The Past but sometimes The Past thinks about me and sits down ever so lightly on my face"

- Leonard Cohen
