` Starlight on the Bayou `

` Starlight on the Bayou `

It was those goosebumps that first tugged my scrutiny; she had this rawness about her, seemingly always desperately painful in her naked expressions; there was never a warmth with her, always that sunless shadow of darkness that followed...

Those eyes could possess and steal your soul if you allowed them to....

In the back room there were shelves filled with mason jars meant for those voodoo spells...Bizarre concoctions intended to heal, inflict illness, discard memories and countless other purposes...

Speaking in tongues calling my name, bringing in the twilight, she summoned me to bleed one more time...to let the moon guide her witchery, to let the spirits be right... possessing and stealing my soul....

Sometimes I still feel those goosebumps, not recalling that much with my discarded memories and all... Surely, stored on her shelves filled with mason jars meant for those voodoo spells...when she possessed and stole my soul....

~ Writer's Thoughts ~

Erin Murphy's Art enthralled me the first time I came across her Virtual Gallery. So many impressions absorbed and dominated my thoughts. This piece in particular, grabbed my attention. From my days as a youth growing up on the Bayou knowing the Voodoo Lore this one just simply resonated with me.

@erin_murphy_art Virtual Gallery is a must see and deserves a follow..Her artistic talents will not disappoint.
