I should be festive, I know
Instead a silliness lurks
feeling barren, these days
I've cried a few times
Mostly just empty now

Whatever makes me merry
Whatever makes me joyous
Whatever makes me peaceful
All departed long ago

I'm wearied
I'm emptied
I'm depleted

Got no inspiration
Got no insightful words
Got nothing to recite

Don’t speak much these days
Not feeling very merry
Not feeling very joyous
Not feeling peaceful at all
All departed long ago

It's December
It's Christmas
Got no festive soul
Got no festive spirit
Not feeling peaceful at all
All departed long ago

~ Writer's Thoughts ~

The holiday season is all about celebration and fun with family and friends. But it can be sad for some too. When you are away from your loved ones, due to time, distance, or lost a family member to death, then you miss them on those days.

The grief of parting away from loved ones like due to death is unbearable on festive days. You miss being with them. For me.... it's December, It's Christmas, I got no festive spirit......
It All departed long ago....

` fractured `

I am but a fractured spirit, a warrior amidst the ruins of a life once vivid and whole. Lately, my  ponderance reveals a world that I once knew has now drifted into a distant isolation. The year of anew has summoned a different awakened fatigue, a drain with an unseen weight that now erodes the bonds with all that once mattered. Within this shadowed isolation, I find my sanity quietly devouring, with fragments scattered by illusions of my own making. In those unguarded moments of insecurity, the apparition of my own end ascends with a cruel uncertainty, disturbing the way I yearn to be. I crave nothing more than to resurrect the man I once knew, a warrior of unyielding strength,  passion and resilience. Somewhere, in the endless tides of time, that self worth was been faulted, leaving behind a weakened soul and a tired old man.
