` Without You `
There's a darkness that follows, a past that torments, threatening to complicate
Our hearts beating as one, breathing from the same rhythm, needing to have you near
It's when I'm with you that the sadness wilts, feeling alive again
caressing your passion, tasting your aroma
With a craving for the next moment I am with you - because afar, I'm lost without you

~ Writer`s Notes ~
I wrote this piece in response to a wonderful prompt challenge by @thechaotic_urban.
Combining her beautiful prompt with a Tanya Martin Painting, I present my ekphrastic expression of ` Without You `
I hope you enjoy the reading it as much as I did writing it.
~ Inspiration ~
"It’s painful, loving someone from afar. Watching them – from the outside. The once familiar elements of their life reduced to nothing more than occasional mentions in conversations and faces changing in photographs….. They exist to you now as nothing more than living proof that something can still hurt you … with no contact at all."
