` An Unapologetic Woman `

` An Unapologetic Woman `

She often cried, but with laughter being her solace

A lifetime of struggle, provoked tragedies, afflicted with pain's imperfections

Witnessing a husband's infidelities with a younger sibling, she glimpsed heartbreak

Garnishing herself in self portraits, it was who she knew best

Always embraced her loneliness by simply being an unapologetic woman

She was a poem waiting to be written

~ Writer's Thoughts ~

I have always been a great admirer of Frida Kahlo. I knew it was only a matter of time before I decided to put some words together for her  intriguing story. I knew she was a poem waiting to be written.

~ Inspiration ~

"Nothing is worth more than laughter. It is strength to laugh and to abandon oneself, to be light. Tragedy is the most ridiculous thing."

- Frida Kahlo
