If I wrote you a gentle poem, could it bring you quietude
Would you take this gift - I wrote for you
Would you say this poem sings the blues
Would you say this is just another poem
Would you give this poem back to me
Saying this poem doesn't bring you quietude
Would you confess this poem is not a gift at all
Would you say this is just another poem that makes you blue
If I wrote this poem for you
Would you take my gift - that made you blue
Or would you say the blues are still the blues

~ Writer's Ekphrastic Thoughts ~
Seeing this enchanting painting for the first time, even before I knew title ` the blues are still the blues `. I felt it. The sadness that comes from with life that we simply just don't sign up for. I thought maybe writing a gentle poem, could it bring some quietude to it.
Wondering if I wrote this poem, would it be a gift, or would it just be another poem that about the blues, If I wrote this poem.
