` All that I forget, I feel.`
And now that I succumb to the boundary of my years,
Let me fade through the reflections of life,
With the things that I know
Let me savor the loneliness
Let me reside with a glimmer of my remembrances
With my thoughts lessening along my dark path
Speaking words aloud, but I hadn't They remained trapped in my head lost forever ~ all that I forget, I feel

~ Writer's Thoughts ~
This painting reminds me of an old friend who withered to Dementia. I remember him as an articulate intellectual who had a passion for the arts with the gift of great contemplative insights. He loved to walk his best friend often along the same dark path each evening. He did so until he couldn't anymore. In a moment of clarity he told me that his words seemed trapped inside his head lost forever, unable to speak them aloud only inside his mind. These words are a tribute to his lingering last days of lucidity that was spent with his reflections on life.
~ Inspiration ~
"We must make haste then, not only because we are daily nearer death, but also because the conception of things and the understanding of them cease first."
